Milan Smiljanic has been at the forefront of Professional Basketball in his native Serbia as a player, a coach and finally as a Sports Director for twenty-five years. His professional career began with an eight season run with First Division Professional Basketball Club BORAC in Cacak, Serbia in 1988. His career took him to Serbia, Lublin, Macedonia, Bosnia and Portugal.

Coach Smiljanic returned to Cacak, Serbia for the last four years of his playing career with BORAC where he transitioned from player to Coach, ultimately taking the reins as General Manager and Sport Director until settling in Pittsburgh in 2013. Manage organization and administration of the basketball program, including the following: recruiting, practice, conditioning, public relations, game-day activities, travels for all teams, and players development

• Recruiting, hiring, scheduling, supervising and evaluating

• Employees, coaches and players performance evaluation and management, recognition and rewards

• Representation of professional basketball players and coaches and negotiation of big number of contracts

• Responsible for all aspects of fundraising and club marketing

• Establish performance goals for each sport season and evaluates them during and after the season

• Planning and controlling club’s day to day operation

• Public speaking and club representation on local, national and international media
